Barber-Scotia College, located in Concord, North Carolina, is a private, historically black college with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1873. Initially established as Scotia Seminary to educate freed African American women, the college later merged with Barber Memorial College in 1930, expanding its mission and academic offerings. Today, Barber-Scotia College, with an enrollment of 168 students, focuses on providing specialized educational programs, particularly in the field of emerging technologies and business strategies.
