Fort Valley State University, located in the quaint town setting of Fort Valley, Georgia, has a storied history that began in 1895. It was established as Fort Valley High and Industrial School, merging with the State Teachers and Agricultural College of Forsyth in 1939 to form what is now known as Fort Valley State University.
